Georgia injury law, in plain English
Georgia is an at-fault state. You can recover as long as you are less than 50% at fault, though your award is reduced by your share. Most injury claims must be filed within two years, and claims against a city or county can require written notice in as little as six months.
Georgia insurers must offer uninsured motorist coverage, and many policies include it. If the other driver had no insurance or not enough, we check every policy that may apply.
